Best of Lafourche: 40 Under 40 Application

Leadership Lafourche invites you to nominate individuals for this prestigious award. The purpose of this award is to recognize young “movers and shakers” in the community. The 40 honorees, who are 40 years of age or younger are judged on their outstanding career achievements and community service impact.

A panel of judges will evaluate each nomination on information provided in the following categories:

• Reason for nomination
• Career Achievements
• Community Involvement
• Their Future Aspirations for Lafourche

CRITERIA: The nominee must be under the age of 40 years as of May 31, 2024, and must live -OR- work in Lafourche Parish

* All completed applications must be received by June 28, 2024 *

Information provided in nomination materials may appear in print in the production of a magazine or press release. Honorees will be invited to a photo shoot, in which photos will be taken for use in the publication.

JUDGING: Judging is based on a 30-point scale, with a maximum of 10 points allocated for two main nomination sections and 5 points allocated for two additional nomination sections. A panel of judges with diverse professions will individually read and score each nomination. Judges’ scores are combined, and the 40 highest-scoring candidates become honorees.

All candidates and nominators will receive written acknowledgment of the final honoree selection after July 31, 2024.

Honorees may also be asked to provide additional information to be published in bios for the publication. The publication of Honorees is set to be published and an Awards Ceremony to take place before the end of the year in 2024.

There is a $40 nomination fee payable to Leadership Lafourche that will go toward printing the publication.

All completed applications must be received no later than June 28, 2024.

*Please include 2 letters of support for the nominee; one may be from the nominator.
